I have been told that it is better to seal the slate tiles i bought before installing them,

would it be ok to do this,

I have a raised covered concrete porch area that has become very grubby and I am wondering whether to scrub clean the porch concrete floor or install slate tiles over it?

My question is - can I put slate tiles outdoors on the concrete?

And what shall I do about the side of the porch concrete?

Are you supposed to have a wide grout space when laying slate tiles.

Someone recommended to have them butted together.

I want my slate floor to be sealed with a wet look because i like it when it is wet and looks darker.

I have already applied a matt slate sealer so am I ok to just apply the gloss sealer over the top.

Can you please tell me if i should use a special adhesive when fixing slate tiles on to a wall?

Or can I use normal tile adhesive?

Hi, I have just moved into a new house and it has an old slate floor.

How will I be able to tell if this slate floor is sealed

What kind of grout should be used for slate tiles installed on a patio where temperature can go below freezing in winter and to about 40 degree centigrade in summer (105 F)?

Our builder told us that there is no need to seal slate tiles that will be installed on our front porch and patio.

I have heard that it is wise sealing slate tiles with silicone which does not cause them to have that artificial sheen, but does protect the tile from staining. Should slate tiles outdoors be sealed?

Can you confirm if sealing slate floor tiles prior to grouting is correct and is one coat sufficient, and then should a second coat be applied once the grouting has been completed.
