Can I use slate tiles for a 5kw woodburner to stand on?

What can i use for multi fuel hearths?

We installed a feature wall of mini stepped slate panels and love it so much we want to do it again in our brand new kitchen but it would be placed near water (i.e. behind a sink). Is the product suitable for this area of the house if it is appropriately sealed? I would not expect it to be exposed to the same water ingress as a shower room, but it would need to be resilient to the occasional splashes. I hope there is a solution available as we do completely love our stone wall (and so does everybody who sees it!)

Hi I am interested in a hearth which I understand have a natural riven finish and diamond cut edges.

I have previously ordered natural tiles which I believe is the same finish so it won't be a surprise. However, as you might expect a diamond cut edge along the front and sides of a heath doesn't look that great.

Are you able to offer a finish so both surface and edges match (e.g. brushed)?

What would the additional cost be on the 1371x508x30 black hearth? An additional question I have relates to hearth size. Are you able to offer slightly altered dimensions?

Would the following tiles... Eco Mini Black Split Face Slate Tiles 600x150x8-13. MO100 .....be suitable for use outdoors, on a small water feature?

Would it be safe to place a slate hearth nine inches beneath an electric fire of two kilowatts, which blows the heat downwards straightonto the hearth?

Is it possible to use slate tiles for a kitchen worktop and would this be a durable solution? The idea was suggested by living etc in October 2013.

Do you sell Brazilian slate beading? I wanted to surround a wood burning stove will slate mosaic tiles and have a beading to finish the look.
