Our Brazilian black honed slate has a beautifully polished surface that is smooth and flat, although it does still have lovely movement and texture. This slate has a two tone appearance and features medium to heavy cloud-like shading with varying tones of black.
These blanks can be used for hearths, copings and windowsills. Please note these tiles have straight machine cut edges to allow for easy jointing and calibrated backs for ease of fitting.

PLEASE NOTE: We recommend your hearth is installed by a HETAS registered installer and in conjunction with building regulations document.

We only recommend laying slate hearths on a solid concrete base with a full bed of sand/cement mortar mix (to HETAS guidelines).
