We are the specialists when it comes to producing T shaped slate hearths, and have made thousands over the years.
We are custodians of one of the largest CNC machines in Europe so this ensures total accuracy when cutting to size and a flawless finish.
We produce T shape hearths from super high quality Brazilian Slate and it comes in 2 finishes; Riven which is textured to touch and Honed which is super smooth, both of which are available in black or grey.
A T shape hearth is designed to fit in the chamber of your fireplace at the back and come out beyond your walls, almost every home has a slightly different sized fireplace and chamber hence the need to have one bespoke made to fit.
You can have it in one piece which we can cut from a big slab of slate or you can have it split in two, where we would make a piece for the front and a piece for the back.
As standard we would make your hearth with a sawn edge, this is a standard cut edge as the CNC finishes it. We can however for an additional charge finish the front edge of your hearth with either a half bullnose which is rounded or a bevel which tapers the edges.
