How do I drill the Brazilian slate cladding panels?

Hi I've recently taken delivery of a pallet of Brazilian slate cladding tiles.

I need to drill through them in order to accommodate a TV bracket.

Can you suggest the best method / equipment for this.

I need to drill 5 holes.

Hello Bryan

With Brazilian slate being very densely formed, you will need to use a good quality diamond tipped drill bit.

I suggest drilling slowly to start, until a suitable depth be achieved whereby limiting the instance of slipping and damaging the face of the tile.

I would not recommend using the 'hammer' facility on your drill.
