Cleaning slate prior to sealing

Should you clean the slate pavers before sealing them?

What product do you recommend?

The best thing to use to clean your slate is plenty of clean water.

There is no need to add any detergent. Make sure that the slate is thoroughly dry and residue-free before you attempt to seal the slate.

Any marks that are not cleaned off will be sealed into the slate otherwise.

Externally we would recommend using LTP Mattstone H20 as a sealant, Internally you can use LTP Mattstone or Colour Intensifier & Stainblock
