Honed Slate

Honed slate has not only been calibrated on the underside of the tile to achieve an even 10mm thickness. But also the top of the tile has been machined to provide a completely flat surface.

The machining process on honed slate removes the riven texture and leaves the equivalent natural shift. This is  displayed by way of colour difference. This difference can take on many forms as is indicative of natural stone i.e. some tiles can be evenly coloured whilst others can appeared 'cloud like' in appearance. Recommended for walls and low traffic areas such as bathrooms etc
