We need to use a breathable stone, and would like limestone tiles.

Do you do an impregnator as opposed to a sealant?

It must be suitable for underfloor heating, so what stone would you recommend?

Hello Celia

Thank you for your question.

We offer two different types of sealers which are categorised as follows, 'Impregnating or Surface' sealers. The impregnators (LTP Mattstone, Mattstone H20, Colour Intensifier and Stainblock, LPG etc) offer a barrier to stains soaking in but provide a breathable surface up through the tile. Surface sitters (Ironwax range) create a barrier 'film' over the surface of the tile and will therefore not be breathable.

All of our sealers are fine for use with underfloor heating systems.

It is important to note that within each of the Impregnating or Surface sealers, there will be a few different sealers to choose from depending on your personal preferences for finishes etc.

If you would like further information about our range of sealers and their uses, please feel free to call our sales team on 01283 730388.
