Is the brushed slate suitable for me to use in my kitchen/diner

Is the brushed slate suitable for me to use in my kitchen/diner and out onto my patio? Is it slippery? Thank you very much. Hello Pippa Absolutely, Brazilian brushed slate can be used in every room of the home. As for being slippery, slate cannot be polished like a marble that can be classed as slippery when wet. Slate does have a natural grip underfoot. If you wanted to take it outside onto a patio area in the thickness we stock then you would need to make sure it is laid onto a concrete base. Basically the same installation method as internally. We would also advise that you consult a builder with regards to an adequate membrane being installed under your external patio area. An alternative would be to use our Brazilian Slate Pavers that are much thicker and can be installed on a fully tempered sand and cement base with the correct sub-base preparation.
