How can I remove white marks from my riven fire surround?

In order to advise on the best way of removing marks from natural stone surfaces, we must first establish what the marks are or indeed what has caused their appearance. If you can email photographs over, to becky@mrs-stone-store.com of the affected areas and of the fire surround as a whole, with as much information on what products in terms of fixing were used to install the slate, I will be better placed to advise you as to the best way forward.

From experience Tina, I'd like to reassure you that slate is generally a very forgiving stone and what can seem like a disaster in terms of spillages and staining etc are very often easily remedied with the correct advice and products.
