What can you recommend to stick slate mosaic split face tiles to my plaster wall...splashback?

Plaster walls should always be primed with Mapei's Primer G before tiling commences using either the Keraquick or the Mapeker, Mapei adhesives.
It is worth noting that the Split Faced Slate cladding panels can vary from approximately 30-42kg/m2 in weight depending on which range you choose. Although, we are aware that tiling onto plaster surfaces with these products has been done previously, the overall weight/m2, is considered too heavy and therefore not recommended.
The best surfaces for tiling with the Split Face Slate would be cement render, brick/blockwork or suitable tile backer boards.
